As shown in series Paradis population was kept in dark had no clue why titans existed and had kept its side of bargain to maintain peace. Marley was basically the aggressor for breaking the treaty and trying to become a superpower. The conflict was created by Marley just on an assumption that the rumbling could happen anytime and make them lose a never existing war.
18:00 this gave me goosebump, instead of defending himself in front of the family victim Erwin vow to avenge his death instead. arguably the best character of the series
How many people haven't watched AOT yet? I cannot believe how many of these people are mad because of that Son Goku guy and his spoilers that are not always true. Guys do not believe his spoilers, not all of them is true.

This could be seen in two instances in the same episode- he calls the crawling titan with feeble body as fellow compatriat (Grishas memories) and secondly when he refers if killing all the enemies would be freedom… Knowing all along that there is no true freedom for him.
